Dinosaur Tour at the Musuem

Last Thursday we went on our field trip to the museum where we had a Dinosaur tour!

See if your child knows the answers to these questions. We were asked these by our tour guide!

1. What is a dinosaur called with only the bones?
(a skeleton!)

2. What is a dinosaur fossil?
(a piece of a dinosaur bone found after years of time!)

The Kinders had LOTS of fun on their tour! They got to play in the Paleo Pit where there were 4 different centres they rotated through, then we went to the play area at the end of our tour. At the end of our scheduled tour, we still had a bit of time left, so the Kinders went with an adult chaperone to tour the museum freely!

Thank you to all the chaperones who came to join us! Your help is greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful Easter Break!

The Kinders are listening attentively to our tour guide

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today started off odd...

We had a special visitor come into our classroom last night! Lucky the Leprechaun! Look at the mess he made!

He left us two gold chocolate coins on our desks and left behind some Leprechaun glitter!

He even left us a note on the board!

Then, we learned about who Saint Patrick really is. Did you know his REAL name was Maywin Socket! Watch the short video below if you'd like! We watched this today at school to learn about Saint Patrick.

And... Since it is St. Patrick's Day, we had to have some Lucky Charms for snack time today! Yummy!
