Valentine Boxes

Yesterday the Kinders decorated their Valentine Boxes. They look amazing! I started out only using Valentine colours, such as: red, white, pink and purple. But, from popular demand, the Kinders also wanted green, orange and blue! This way the boxes turned out more unique!

Take a look at our great boxes! We will be putting the finishing touches on today by using valentine stickers!!

Happy Groundhog Day

Today we celebrated Groundhog Day!

The Kinders watched a short video on youtube about Groundhogs. Click here to watch it. 

Then, we read a book about Phil the Groundhog. 

After that, the Kinders practiced being little groundhogs. We took turns pretending we were a groundhog. The Kinders had to hide in their burrow like a groundhog, sneak out, and if they saw their shadow they ran back in their burrow. Uh oh - 6 more weeks of winter! If they didn't see their shadow, they came out! That means spring is coming soon!

We also made groundhog masks! The Kinders had so much fun pretending to be a groundhog today! The Kinders even learned a song! It went like this: (to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle)
