C is for Cat

Today we read the book:

We talked about the "c" sounds we heard in the book. This week we are learning about "c" and k" because they both make the same sound! 

Then I showed the Kinders a photo of a "C" Cat and explained that we are going to make a cat today using the letter C. 

However... the Kinders only received:

• the black letter C (which they had to cut out)
• A piece of grey paper 
• A piece of pink paper

I had the Kinders make their cat's own head, paws, tails, ears, nose, whiskers, and mouth! The "C" Cats turned out very unique and creative!!
